"Oh that you Lord would bless us indeed and would enlarge our territory, that Your hand would be with us and that you would keep us from harm." 1 Chron. 4:10.

November is here...
and my plan is to actually blog every day this month. Yes I actually said that! LOL! Now to follow through may be the hard part. But this month my plan is to share something each day that I am thankful for. The posts may be short, long, funny, sad, but everything will be something I am thankful for. So tomorrow we shall start a new adventure, #1 to get me back into blogging regularly and #2 (most importantly) to share all the things I am thankful for!

Proud Parents
We are so proud of our kids! They have worked very hard the last 9 weeks and all 4 of them have straight A's and are on the honor roll. Even Jaron who is being home schooled has really worked hard and his projects, reports and tests have all been A/Bs. So tonight we are treating them to where ever they want to go for dinner. Naturally they chose Mc D's. Not my 1st choice but this is about them tonight. I won't be eating it. I am on a journey to lose weight so I will pick something at home to make for myself.
Great Job Kids!

Books
So this home schooling adventure we started on has been just that...an adventure. Jaron has mastered everything I had planned to do in math up till Dec which means I am scrambling to get the next units organized and ready. I had planned to take Christmas break to get the next semester planned out. Such is life I guess. Actually he has done so well that everything I planned up till Dec has been done and so I have felt a bit overwhelmed as of late.
So yesterday I prayed and asked God to help me come up with the next units for math, science and history and He answered! YAY! Jaron will be learning about minerals, gems and earth science, medieval times and castles, and for math we are finishing up fractions this week and will start on percentages.
This morning I prayed that God would provide some other ideas and or books that I could use to continue on this adventure we are on and after Jaron completed his school work we were headed to the library. But on the way we stopped at the Goodwill. I had this thought, that just maybe I would find a couple of books that would be helpful. But what I found was so much more! We were blessed to find history, health, reading, science all by Abeka, then we found another American History book that was a public school book that was probably used when I was in middle school. Yes that was a long time ago but it is still very reliable. I plan to use it as a baseline and add to it. Just very thankful! God has truly been taking us on an adventure of trusting Him to supply all we need to teach Jaron this year. I have 3 kids in public and I am praying about home schooling the other three next year. SO many things are happening right now that I am just waiting on God to direct my steps and show me all I need to know and do. I do not want to be out of step on this at all. It's a HUGE under taking so waiting on His lead is of utmost importance!

Thank you God
Yep this kitty knows who to thank and so do I! OK so here's the deal and it may not be a big deal to you but we have gone from 3 to 10 channels. How...well we were blessed with a newer model used TV. This new TV does not need a converter or extra equipment to pick up channels with the digital antenna. So tonight we tried a channel search and was very surprised that we no longer only get ABC, CBS, & ION but we now get those plus FOX, NBC, & KET. Granted it's not good to watch too much TV and we don't. Our kids spend time reading books, playing outside, playing board games as well as computer games so don't write me and tell me how bad TV is for my kids. They are very well rounded children.
Just thankful for the little things and sometimes it is the little things that really do make a difference in our lives.

Oh how I Miss You...
...my dear dear camera! Ok so I had no idea how much I would miss not having a camera till it died. Seriously, I take pictures almost daily. Some make the cut and I add them to facebook or to my blogs but this shall not happen for a while. Our camera died. Just died. Not sure exactly what happened or why but it will cost more to fix than to purchase a new one. Either way we do not have the money to get a new one so we are camera less. I makes me sad that we are missing little things the kids are doing. SO if anyone feels bad for us and wants to bless us with a new one, let me know!

Is it Really October?
My oh my where is this year flying off to? It truly needs to slow down a little. SO many things are taking place in our family it's just nutty. Let's see....
* Sean got a promotion to shift manager and with it a raise...YAY! We know God is behind it completely!
* Sara got a new teacher after her first teacher quit.
* Kristofer's teacher got a promotion and he will be getting a new teacher as well. (This is huge for him because the idea of change does not excite him, it actually makes him very nervous and fearful. We are praying that this will be an easy transition and that the new teacher will arrive soon.)
* Sean has passed 3 of his courses towards being ordained with the Assemblies of God.
He has 6 more courses to go and then an internship of sorts.
* I am learning more about Jaron and it is helping me in teaching him.
Those are just a few of the things going on. The saddest thing for me personally is that our wonderful camera died. Some kind of electrical glitch that will cost more to fix than to purchase a new one. I am praying that we will be able to come up with some extra money so that I can get a new one. I so miss taking pictures and naturally it's Fall...my favorite season of the year. My parents are coming up for a week vacation. YAY! It means we will get to spend some more time with them. Not the whole week, they need time alone in their finished country cabin, but we will spend time with them. Can't wait! The kids are so excited about seeing them. SO AM I! Ever moment is cherished, life is not a guarantee and you never know what will happen next.
I am watching my dear friend Michele is walking through a very difficult time. She just lost her mom due to a sudden illness. I have watched 4 of my dear friends lose their mom and another her father. I know my time with my parents is precious. So is the time my husband has left with his mom who is in her mid 80s. We are trying to figure out a time and plan a vacation to NY to visit her and his siblings. We are hoping to go in the spring. It may mean that we won't be able to go to FL for my niece's graduation and that is tearing my heart up but Addie, Sean's Mom is just as important and we know just based on age that our time with her is actually a whole lot shorter. So hopefully everything will work out and we will be in NY in April. That would be fun! The kids are all old enough to handle riding the train and going into the city. They would be completely amazed! :) Praying it all works out!
