Happy Birthday

Ok so can someone out there tell me how to slow down time just a bit??

Today is Jaron's 9th birthday and I would really like to go backwards about hmmm, 9 years so that I can enjoy him as a baby again. He is growing up so fast and WAY too soon he will be a teen. UGH! NO NOT THAT! We celebrated yesterday because Sunday's are days that are full of church events and Sean must get some sleep since he has to work the over night shifts. We sure would like it if he could get on a day shift again.

We went to see "Monsters vs Aliens" and then had a pizza and cake party. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the movie and we had a great time last night just being a family and enjoying each others company.

Happy Birthday Jaron!!! I iwll post a few pictures later tonight. We plan to have a little party at church as well...just cupcakes with his church friends.

10 Days old..Puppies

WOW I can't believe how fast these puppies are growing. They are getting so big! I think all of them will be close to 3 lbs by the end of this week. Their eyes are starting to slowly open. I took some pictures of how much they have grown!

Before I was a Mom

I have read this poem so many times. Today I need a reminder of these things and thought if I needed the reminder others might need the reminder too. The pictures were taken by my BF Angie. She and I were college roomates and this weekend we had a college roomates get together. It was one of the best weekends. I am paying for it, my knees are killing me from all the driving but so worth it! I just wanted to share a few of the pics here with this poem. I plan to show some more of this weekends pictures in a later blog.
Before I was a Mom,
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or notmy plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom,
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on. Chewed on. Peed on.
I had complete control of my mindand my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at nightwatching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom,
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feelto feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom,
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonder mentor the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much,
before I was a Mom.

Goings on...

It's spring break here for the kids. I honestly can't believe its so early but my kids are loving it. Thankfully the weather has been beautifully warm. I took the kids on Friday to KY and spent the weekend with my college roomates and their kids. It was so much fun! Just us 5 women with 13 kids and 5 are on the autism spectrum. Amazingly they did fantastic! One of my BF took lots of pictures which were fantastic! Here are just a few!

Tamara - Mary's daughter. Isn't she beautiful!

Lucy was so brave. She worked really hard at

learning how to slide down the fire pole.

We were all so avery proud of her!

Marty... always the teacher (smile)! Very smart!!!

Elaine brought her two little black poodles.

She is actually holding two of them in this picture.

Jay and all the boys were so sweet with Kayla!
